Terms
The deal, in full.
Last updated 7 September 2026. These terms cover your use of Linekeeper. Using the service means you accept them.
The one that matters most
Linekeeper flags discrepancies. It does not approve purchases. A document marked OK means the lines matched the order you entered, within the tolerances you set: nothing more. It is not a guarantee that the document is correct, that the goods will arrive, or that the price is the one you negotiated. Extraction is machine reading and it can be wrong. Keep a person in the loop for anything financially material, which is exactly why the confirm step exists.
Your account
- One account is one workspace. Everyone with the credentials sees everything in it: there are no roles or per-user permissions, so share access accordingly.
- You're responsible for keeping credentials safe and for what's done under your account.
- You must be authorised to send us the documents you send us.
- Don't use the service to break the law, to process data you have no right to process, or to attack the infrastructure.
Your data stays yours
You own the documents, orders, and extracted records in your account. We hold them to provide the service. We don't sell them, don't share them between accounts, and don't use them to train models. You can export everything at any time, and ask for deletion at any time. Details are on the privacy page.
The one licence you grant is the narrow one required to run the product: to store your documents, send them to the extraction provider to be read, and return the results to you.
Billing
- Plans are monthly, priced by document volume, and charged in advance in USD.
- Going over your document allowance doesn't switch anything off. You'll see it in the app and be moved up a tier the following month, or left alone if it was a one-off.
- Cancel in the app and the service runs to the end of the period you've paid for. There's no notice period and no cancellation fee.
- First week: if the service doesn't save real time in your first week, say so and the first month is not charged, or is refunded if it already was.
- Prices can change with 30 days' notice by email. A change never applies to a period you've already paid for.
Availability
There is no uptime SLA on the current plans, and it would be dishonest to print one. The service runs on Cloudflare's edge network and is expected to be available, but it's a young product maintained by a small team. Planned maintenance is announced when it's likely to be noticed.
If the service is materially unavailable for more than 48 hours in a billing month, ask and that month is credited.
What's not promised
The service is provided as it is. Beyond what's written above, there's no warranty that extraction will be accurate, that matching will catch every discrepancy, or that it will fit any particular purpose. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited by agreement: including, in New Zealand, the Consumer Guarantees Act where it applies.
Liability for any claim connected to the service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Neither side is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss: lost profit, lost business, or the cost of a shipment that went wrong.
Ending it
You can close your account whenever you like. We can close an account for non-payment, for abuse of the service or the infrastructure, or for use that's illegal: with notice and a chance to fix it, unless the conduct makes that unreasonable. If we discontinue the service entirely, you get at least 90 days' notice, a refund of anything prepaid, and your data in an export.
Changes to these terms
Material changes get 30 days' notice by email to account holders, and the date at the top moves. Continuing to use the service after that means accepting them. If you'd rather not, cancel and get the unused part of the period back.
Governing law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the courts of New Zealand have jurisdiction. If a clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
